One week at home

We've been home for a little over a week and are getting settled in. Lily is still at the stage where she sleeps alot. Jena keeps asking where her eyes are! We are learning to adjust to being a family of four now. It is a little harder getting ready to go and getting out the door. Jena is learning she now has to wait sometimes for things because I have Lily to take care of also. But all in all I think we are doing ok.

Lily Grace Williams is here!

On July 19th at 9:39 pm, Lily Grace Williams was born. She was 8 lbs 1 oz and 20 inches long. Jena just adores her sister and is already trying to share Popsicles and yogurt with her! We are amazed at how much Lily looks like Jena did when she was born. We are all home now and are getting settled in. Thanks to everyone that has sent their congratulations and stopped by. Contractions

I have been having contractions for a little while now. But they have gotten stronger and closer together in the last few days. Right now we are sitting at about 8 minutes apart and painfully strong contractions. We will keep you updated.

Update

http://www.fayobserver.com/article?id=299160

We were sad to hear today that the police believe they found the body of the missing army nurse I mentioned a few days ago. It is hard to believe that someone Roger saw and spoke with just a few weeks ago is gone. Our prayers go out to her family in this terrible time.

Hitting close to home

I was shocked, along with the rest of Fayetteville, yesterday to read another young female solider is missing. This is the second on Fayetteville in the last month and third in NC in the last year. http://www.fayobserver.com/article?id=298888
What I didn't know when I originally read this article is the that she is a nurse at the hospital with Roger. He has worked with her in his past rotations. So not only is she a part of our "Army family" she is part of our "Womack family". So I ask everyone to pray that they find her safe.

Conversations with a 2 year old

I'm stealing an idea from Ken Jennings' Blog here. But, lately Jena has been saying some of the funniest things. I'm not sure why, but lately she has taken to calling Lemonade "Watermelon Juice". But the funniest thing was a recent conversation we had about our friends the Krebses moving. It went something like this:

Me "Jena, you know Alex is going to move away and not live here anymore."
Jena "Where is she going?"
Me "She and her family are moving to Georgia."
Jena "Gramma lives in Georgia."
Me "Yes, she does."
Jena "Alex is moving to Gramma's house! Yeah!"

I tried to explain they were moving to Savannah and Gramma lives in Augusta, but that did not sway her. She is convinced that Alex is now going to be living at Gramma's.
