Vital Statistics

We took Lily in for her 12 months check up and they say she is doing great. She didn't feel so great after 4 shots though! Jena came along for the ride and got her height and weight done too!

Lily: 14 lbs 15.2 oz and 27.5 inches tall (5th percentile)

Jena: 27.5 lbs and 36 inches tall (10th percentile)

Lily turns 1!

It is hard to believe, but Lily was born one year ago today. On that day we became a family of 4! It has been great to watch her grow into the TODDLER she is today. Thanks to everyone who came to help celebrate with us yesterday. It was great to have our Fayetteville "family" here to celebrate. And a big thanks to Alicia and Noah for making the drive in to see us. Happy Birthday, Lily! We look forward to so many more as you grow. Hope everyone enjoys the collage, click on it to see a bigger version.

OBX rewind

I finally got our pictures up from the beach. We had a great week at the Outer Banks earlier this month. We were really glad to see our family and friends in such a beautiful place.

My cousin Brandy was able to join us before she heads out for her next deployment. Her dad, my Uncle Bernie and his girlfriend Sharon were also able to make it for the weekend.

David and Erin came down from DC for a few days of fun at the beach.

Our family of four.

Victory Dance!
We all enjoyed the Wrights Brothers Memorial in Kitty Hawk.

Ben, Kayleigh and Colton were able to join us for the first half of the week before they began their journey to California. Roger's brothers made it out too.

Enjoying the sites.

The girls enjoyed time with their cousin Colton at the beach. We are also excited to learn that Colton will be a big brother next February.

Shift change at the beach was Wednesday for us.

Dr, Dr, Dr, Dr and Will.
Old friends together again!
Tanya and Jordan made it up from Greenville to join us.

Everyone had a great time at the beach!

Jena, Lily and Noah became fast friends. Everyday we got up Jena wanted to know where Noah was. And she has asked about him several times since we got home.

We stopped at the Sand Dunes on our way out.

It was really hot!
We all had a great time and were so happy to see everyone who made it.

3rd Year!

Well, we made. Today is the start of Roger's third year of residency. 2 down, 1 to go! Since Roger is actually still in school, it is like he is in 23rd grade. I know, crazy! But, barring any fellowships, this will be his last year of school. And now we begin the count down to the end of our time here in Fayetteville. We have decided not to stay at Fort Bragg next year, so it will not be on our list.

For those of you that are non-Army, I'll give you a run down of how the next year will go for us. Some time this fall, probably September, they will give us a preliminary list of hospitals that have slots open for next year. Then, a few months later, we will talk with the coordinator about where we want to go (usually a list of 8) and they will give us an idea of how many slots are available at those places. In December we will submit our final list. Finally in the spring, hopefully early, we find our where we will go from here. So, once again, our fate is in the Army's hands.
